Heath Village is seeking a Painter

Responsibilities:

• Prepares surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, priming, and repairing holes, cracks, or other imperfections using appropriate fillers.
• Selects and mixes paints, stains, varnishes, enamels, or lacquers to match existing colors or specifications.
• Applies paint and other finishes using various tools like brushes, rollers, and sprayers, ensuring uniform coverage and a high-quality finish.
• Performs touch-ups and repainting as needed to maintain the facility's appearance and protect surfaces from wear and tear.
• Applies specialized coatings, such as antimicrobial or low-VOC paints, suitable for healthcare environments.
• Performs routine maintenance and repair tasks related to painting, which may include minor drywall repairs, patchwork, and smoothing surfaces.
• May assist with other light maintenance duties as assigned, including minor plumbing or electrical tasks.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a painter, preferably in a healthcare or commercial setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of various painting techniques, materials, and color theory.
• Familiarity with safety standards, regulations, and best practices relevant to painting in healthcare facilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
